The block 3

THE LOWER LEVEL OF THE ARTILLERY BLOCK 3

This is the lower floor of Block 3. On your right, you can see a room for the crew, the devices for air-filtering and ventilation and a lodge for the chief of the turret.

On your left, you are facing the 12 m high, 180 ton heavy mass embodying the 80 ton gunned turret. The up and down movement is eased up by the 20 ton counterweight in the back. Looking up towards the top of the ladder, across the mouth to the tiny four gunners’ lodge, you can see the 75 mm guns.
